View source for LGBTQ Friendly Boudoir Photography in the Philadelphia Suburbs

LGBTQ Friendly Boudoir Photography in the Philadelphia Suburbs Allebach Photography has been photographing LGBTQ couples for more than ten years across New Jersey and the Philadelphia area, and its North Wales studio states plainly that it is LGBTQ friendly. That matters when you're choosing someone to take boudoir photos. You want to walk in knowing you won't have to explain your relationship, correct anyone's assumptions or quietly wonder if you're truly welcome. The studio's roots help explain the attitude. Mike Allebach first became known for photographing tattooed brides and offbeat weddings, and his work has appeared in Offbeat Bride over the years. That background shows in Boudoir how the studio talks about who it serves: all races, all genders, every shape, size and age, and poly friendly as well as LGBTQ friendly. The couples you see on the website are real clients who chose to share their photos, not professional models, so you get an honest sense of who actually books.
Allebach Photography | 403 East Walnut Street, North Wales, PA 19454 | 610-539-6920
Couples boudoir is photographed by Mike, who has more than 20 years of professional photography experience. Best of Best Review named him Best Couples Boudoir Photographer in the United States for 2026. He guides every pose, so you and your partner can focus on each other instead of worrying about what to do next. For solo boudoir, you can choose a male or female photographer, and most solo sessions include two photographers, Mike and Erika. That choice is yours to make on the free phone consultation, along with anything else you'd like the team to know ahead of time. How much you show is entirely up to you. Many couples finish wrapped in a sheet, some keep shirts on, and full nudes are possible if you want them. The studio makes still photographs only, for albums and wall art. Privacy is the default for every session, and your photos are never shared or shown without your permission. Only clients who sign a model release appear online. After the shoot, you'll relax in the lounge and then watch a cinematic premiere of your images on a big screen with music, before choosing favorites with a design consultant. Your artwork arrives in under six weeks. North Wales is an easy trip from much of the region. It's about 45 minutes to an hour from Center City, and the studio says a SEPTA regional rail train runs from Center City right to its door. King of Prussia, Plymouth Meeting and Norristown are close by, and most of New Jersey, including Trenton, is within 60 to 90 minutes. The weekday couples boudoir session fee is currently listed at $595, including studio rental and hair and makeup for one person. FAQ About Boudoir

How much does a boudoir photoshoot cost near North Wales, PA?
Allebach Photography currently lists weekday boudoir and couples boudoir session fees at $595, which covers studio rental and hair and makeup for one person. Albums, prints and wall art are chosen separately after your reveal, with wall art starting at $800. A free phone consultation on 610-539-6920 walks you through the options before you book.

What is couples boudoir photography?
Couples boudoir is an intimate portrait session for two, focused on connection rather than posing for the camera. At the North Wales studio, Mike Allebach photographs every couples session himself and guides you through each moment, from relaxed and playful to close and romantic. You leave with artwork for your home that's just about the two of you.

Are boudoir photos kept private?
Yes. Every session at Allebach Photography is private by default, and photos are never shared or shown without your permission. Only clients who sign a model release appear on the website, which is why so many teachers, doctors, lawyers and business owners from around Montgomery County feel comfortable booking.

What should I wear to a boudoir session?
Bring two or three outfits you feel good in, such as lingerie, a favorite oversized shirt, a sweater or nothing more than a sheet. The team helps you plan outfits during your free consultation so everything photographs well in the studio's window light. Clothing levels are always your choice on the day.

How long does a boudoir photoshoot take?
Plan for about five hours at the studio on East Walnut Street. That covers hair and makeup, the photo session itself and the cinematic premiere, where you see your images on a big screen and design your album or wall art. Many couples take a day off work or make a weekend of it.

Is hair and makeup included for boudoir?
Hair and makeup for one person is included in the session fee, and the studio has a dedicated room set aside for it. If both partners want styling for a couples session, mention it when you book so the team can arrange extra time.

Can men do boudoir photography?
Absolutely. Allebach Photography offers men's boudoir for anyone who wants to feel confident in front of the camera, whatever that looks like for you. Sessions are guided, private and built around your style, and the studio welcomes cis, trans, gay and straight clients alike.

Is boudoir photography only for young or slim people?
No. The North Wales studio photographs every body, age, gender and orientation, and many couples clients are between 45 and 60. Tattoos, scars and stretch marks are celebrated rather than edited away, because the goal is to see yourself as you are right now.

Can I choose a female boudoir photographer?
Yes. For solo boudoir at Allebach Photography you can choose a male or female photographer, and the full solo experience includes both Mike and Erika working together. Couples boudoir sessions are photographed by Mike.

When should I book bridal boudoir before my wedding?
Book a few months ahead if the album is a wedding gift. Artwork from Allebach Photography is designed on the day of your session and arrives in under six weeks, so leave enough room for that before the big day. Call 610-539-6920 to check weekday dates.

Do I need to be a model or have experience posing?
Not at all. Every couple shown on the studio's website is a real client, not a professional model. The photographers guide every pose and expression, and most clients say their nerves are gone within the first few minutes.

How far is the boudoir studio from Philadelphia?
The studio is in North Wales, Montgomery County, about 45 minutes to an hour from Center City Philadelphia and Philadelphia International Airport. A train runs from Center City to North Wales, and clients regularly drive in from Doylestown, Horsham, Willow Grove, King of Prussia and New Jersey.
